Chinese New Year Eve

Sunday, January 25, 2009
It's about 12 hours to go before Chinese New Year! I am melting in excitement welcoming a brand new lunar year =p

First and foremost, I'd like to wish everyone good health, great wealth, lots of luck, pots of wisdom all year round, and have a prosperous Chinese New Year! Those who are in my mailing list should have received my non-commercial greating earlier.

Apart from that, I'd like to thank everyone for everything in lunar year 2008, especially those who left significant memories in my life. Thanks Papa Mama for pampering me with so much love since I have been single, lmao. Thanks God for giving me so much chances but too bad I did not really treasure the best chance, but I promise I'll do my best in 2009.

Thanks for all the companies during my trips in 2008, Langkawi, Kukup, JB, Bukit Tinggi, Genting, Penang, Thailand, and Australia, and the incoming one in April, Pulau Redang. Thanks Shell for all the memories and experiences. Thanks Cadbury for all the OT works. Thanks Northgate Arinso for the Sony T2.

Too many people for me to thank, I'll keep the names in my heart instead of posting it here. For those who I've missed out, I apologise, but I don't have that much time to spare in my blog, my mummy is cooking downstair right now and has been asking for help few times, guess I have to go down and give her a hand now.

Happy Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fatt Chai!

Company Trip to Penang

Sunday, January 11, 2009
It had been a really peak season for me, peaked with trips that are really tiring, argh! I had been to so many places in like 3 to 4 months, the pain of tiredness is killing me, feel so sleepy after came back from the company trip yesterday. But I just love travelling! xD

Due to the effect of economy downturn, my company has decided to make it a road trip to Penang. It is kind of disappointing but it is better than nothing, have to understand that with the economy condition now, many companies are having retrenchment by cutting down the unnecessary expenses, or employee's salary, or working days. So, we should appreciate the effort our country manager made in fighting for the annual trip for us.

It was a 3D2N trip to Batu Ferringhi Penang, and accommodated in Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-la. We gathered in KL Sentral in the morning, and then headed to Penang in few buses. There are about 200++ staff from the company joining the trip.

Gathered at KL Sentral

All those in Cadbury HR Online project were told to bring along the laptop to standby in case there is any urgent matters raised from the client. We prayed hard that we don't need to switch it on during the entire trip. xD

We were given meal allowance for our lunch during the trip. Arrived at the resort in the afternoon, registered ourselves and checked in.

After that, we went to the beach for some beach games. I joined volley ball game at the beach with the team mates, while some other colleagues played beach soccer, parachute, jetsky, etc.

In the night, we had our buffet dinner in the resort. After that, went to the nite market for window shopping, and also to buy some DVDs. In the late nite, our directors treated us for a party in a club nearby the resort. I was one of the early bird, by the time we reached there, there were only few person there. And out of a sudden, there were around 100++ people in the club! Haha, we surprised the servants there! Everybody enjoyed free flow of liquor. Now I see a lot of drunkards out there, when there is free liquor! A lots of people refused to turn up whenever we organise club niteout events. But when it comes to free one ar, everybody turned up! LMAO! Sad thing is that, none of them love dancing. I tried to pull them out to the dance pool but after a while everyone disappeared from the dance pool. Kind of boring, so I headed back to have rest.

Second day morning, we woke up for buffet breakfast in the resort, and then followed by the team building games on the beach. All of us had great fun in the games. And the best game is the volley ball game, where you have to place a balloon that is filled with water on the towel that is held by 2 people, swing it to your opponent's side, while they have to catch the ball in the towel, and vice versa, swing it back to your side.

After the games, we went back to take shower and went back to the cafe in the resort for buffet lunch. And then, we took the bus to the town for sightseeing and shopping. Went back to the resort in the evening, took a shower and dressed ourselves up in hawaiian style, got ready for the hawaiian beach dinner!

Upon registration, each of us have to pick an envolope from a box. I picked the number 88, the number sounds cool to me. And then we got seated, ready for the dinner party. I have then opened up the envelope, "Aiks, what the hell is this? Why am I getting the bikini logo?", some of my colleagues are getting ice-cream logo, dancer logo, etc. I was worried that they want me to wear bikini on stage! Wanna know what's the bikini logo for? Read on and you'll know.

The food was so-so only. The best one was the BBQ lobsters! Haha, though it was no compete to the one I had in Australia, but still, it was ok-ok lar... Haha!

Guess what, the bikini logo actually rewarded me a Sony Cybershot digital camera! Hohoho! Thanks to my beloved company, I love you so much, haha! But I'd really prefer to win the grand price, the MacBook Air! There are many other interesting prizes such as MacBook, 32"/27" LCD, WII, PS3, PSP, Digicam, Cash voucher, Ipod Touch, and the most common prize, Ipod Shuffle for everyone else who doesn't win any prize. Why don't they give everyone a Ipod Shuffle as door gift? I wish I could have one, simply because there is company logo printed on it, gonna be a good memory.

Guess what insider?

Wow, it's a Sony Cybershot T2!

Hohoho, it's time to snap some nice photo!

Shall I call it unlucky to those who got this? =P

After the dinner, the unofficial NGACC (NorthGateArinso Clubbing Community) members were lining up at the entrance of the resort, getting ready to party again! Haha... So again I was invited by Angie to join them up at the same club on our company treat again. Not much people joined for the outing, probably many of them were tired? We did not stay too long in the club, only for like, erm, 1 hour++. Went back and had a quick shower before I bumped into the blanket.

The next morning, we woke up for packing and then followed by buffet breakfast in the same cafe in the resort. Right after that, check out and got into the bus, time to say goodbye to Batu Ferringhi! Stopped in the half way for lunch, before we arrived at KL in the late afternoon.

That's all about the company trip 2008/09. Love it, thanks for the Sony Cybershot T2! =)
